I paint in a variety of styles and subject matter, size and price range. Three types or genre of painting can be gleaned from my work. The “group” paintings tend to be created with acrylic paint, within one evening, and with three or more artists. They have a playful and colorful graffiti like look. My “landscapes” reflect local beauty and are created with oil paint and the use of brush, palate knife, and finger mark making. My “figurative” work is an ongoing commentary on young men, exploitation through marketing media, with an attempt to capture the same pressures women have endured for much longer. The work is entitled Vulnerable and Exposed, and is painted in oil and is also created using a multitude of mark making devices.

I have a studio gallery in my home but do not keep regular business hours. Contact me for a private viewing 778-458-2445 or visit www.loreschmidts.com or during The Sunshine Coast Art Crawl.
