Nancy Hache is a British Columbia, contemporary artist who credits a great deal of her abilities to growing up in a family where painting, pottery and music were shared passions.
Nancy continued her education at St. Lawrence College and then The Ottawa School of Art. She has been juried and exhibited in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Mexico. Nancy paints in acrylic medium and utilizes a broad spectrum of gels, mediums and acrylic inks. She works out of her studio on Granville Island and recently, during the winter months in Mexico.
“Living in British Columbia and being so close to the ocean and mountains keeps me grounded and fills my soul. I love working out of my studio on Granville Island is such a vibrant and inspiring environment to be immersed in and it allows my art to flow! I also feel so blessed to have the opportunity to live in Mexico half the year and work out of my studio set amid tropical botanical gardens in beautiful Bucerias!
Nancy taught in the health care system for over 25 years and has been painting full time for over 18 years. Her passion for painting combined with her passion for teaching and years of experience have naturally lead into teaching workshops and mini workshops in acrylic medium. She has just completed her third “out of country” women’s “Heart and Soul Art Retreat” in Bucerias Mexico , where 8-10 women from across Canada and the US have attended the each of the 15 day workshops. Her fourth sold out retreat is scheduled for Jan 23 to Feb 7 2018 at the magnificent Hacienda Camino Al Mar in Bucerias. Nancy’s retreats have been fantastic and resounding successes!
