I started out with watercolor lessons in the early 90’s and realized early on wildlife inspired me the most. I painted for the Jakarta Friends of the Zoo organization in Indonesia when we lived there and after emigrating to Canada in 1997 bears and other North American wildlife became my main subject matter. I have always liked unusual canvases and once I switched to acrylics that became even more apparent: I have used 350 lb boulders and wild turkey feathers as a canvas.

I exhibited with my hand turkey feathers at the Western art show of the Calgary Stampede for many years. These days I paint larger canvases again and since we moved to the Sunshine Coast I am more and more inspired by coastal scenes: from sailing boats to islands and sunsets and rolling waves.. (and of course still bears and dogs).
